The FoxVelo Bicycle Road Racing Team was organized in 1997 by Henry Dimmick. The "Fox" name and original "MotoFox" logo came from Jeff Bell's association with Motocross racing and from the Team's first sponsor, their mutual motorcycle dealer.

While the motorcycle shop did not continue its sponsorship, the "MotoFox" jerseys remained in the racing peleton (group of racers) earning a reputation for "race animation".

Over the years, riders were added to the team to build overall Team strength and depth in sprinting, climbing and breakaways. In 2001, the "MotoFox" logo was replaced with the "FoxVelo" logo seen on these pages. This "coat-of-arms" marks the Team's progression from a group of racers with similar personalities to a Sponsored Team of athletes working in concert with a single Mission.
